3. Hosting and technical access data

When you access the website, technical data required to transmit and display the requested content is processed. This includes your IP address in particular. The hosting provider receives this data as part of providing the website.

Access and error logs may also contain the time of access, the requested address or file, the server response status, the amount of data transferred, and information supplied by your browser about the browser, operating system and previously visited page.

Processing serves the technical provision, stability and security of the website and the detection and resolution of errors and misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of my website.

4. WordPress, cookies and similar storage technologies

This website uses WordPress software installed on the web hosting service to manage its content.

When authorised users log into the administration area, WordPress uses cookies, in particular for authentication and session management. These functions relate to access to the editorial administration area and are separate from use of the publicly accessible pages.

Where storing or accessing information on your device is strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested, this is based on Section 25(2)(2) of the German TDDDG. Where personal data is processed for the secure operation of the website and its administration, the basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure provision and administration of the website.

5. Contact by email

If you contact me by email, I process your email address, the contents of your message and any other information you provide in order to handle and respond to your enquiry.

Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or a pre-contractual step you have requested. For other enquiries, the basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is handling and responding to your message.

Providing this information is voluntary. Without a reachable contact address and the information required to handle your enquiry, I may be unable to respond.

Data is deleted when your enquiry has been fully dealt with and further retention is no longer necessary. Where statutory retention obligations apply, the data concerned is retained for the prescribed period. Any additional retention for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims takes place only where necessary and legally permitted.

6. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have the right to access your personal data, to have incorrect data corrected, to erasure, to restriction of processing and to data portability.

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing before withdrawal remains unaffected.
